The overall winner (Grand Prix Award) of Xchangeteam's Freelancer of the Year Award 2009 will be chosen from one of the category winners – Advertising & Design (Creative and Account Management)Digital Excellence, Editorial, Events, Marketing and PR, Communications & Public Affairs.

To achieve Grand Prix status, the judges will be looking for the freelance consultant who has successfully achieved (or surpassed!) the goals and objectives set by the client. The work might have been consultative or tactical, creative or strategic, but the linking factor will be a high quality completion of the brief.

The overall winner will be a successful freelancer because they have demonstrated adaptability, flexibility, insight, customer focus, the commitment to add real value to their clients’ business and generally adopt a ‘best practice’ approach to their work.

These Awards aim to showcase some of the outstanding work produced by freelance consultants, therefore the primary measure of who should be voted a winner is ‘who added the most value to their client?’
